Scope

OptiPlex Encrypted Backups is a personal utility operated on its owner's equipment for private application recovery. This website describes that utility. No public accounts, subscriptions, hosted application access or paid backup service are offered.

Authorization

Google Drive access requires the owner's explicit authorization through Google. The configured utility uses drive.file permission for its own backup files and folders and checks the connected account and available storage.

Owner responsibilities

The owner controls the source data, storage account, retention settings and execution of the utility. The owner is responsible for maintaining authorization, sufficient storage, private credentials and independent recovery-password copies.

Backup verification and recovery tests should be reviewed before relying on a recovery point. A restic recovery password is required to decrypt the repository. Losing that password can prevent recovery.

Retention and availability

Configured retention removes expired recovery points. Google Drive may retain discarded repository objects in Trash under its own deletion rules. Storage availability, network access, credentials and service changes can affect backup operations.

The owner can stop the utility or revoke Google authorization at any time. Existing backups and locally retained credentials remain until the owner removes them or the applicable retention process deletes them.

Privacy

The privacy policy describes the utility's access, use, storage and handling of data, including the Google Limited Use commitment. Google services are governed by their applicable terms and policies.

Website information

These informational pages provide no sign-in, credential submission or application-management interface. They describe the intended personal backup workflow and will be updated when its data practices materially change.
